Guestlist 101: A quick guide to being on the DJ’s Guestlist

STEP ONE: SUBMIT YOUR LIST TO ME

Submit your list to me before 7pm on the day of the event. A guest list submission should look like this:

Jessica Yearry
Mike Swinburne
John Hall
Darren Watkins +2
Juan Alvarez +1

One name per line, first and last name.
The “plus number” means that there will be (number) of guests showing up with that person. You can do that instead of listing every name, but remember that these people must show up with the person whose name is listed. Limit of “+2”

STEP TWO: SHOW UP TO THE CLUB (ON TIME)

Ultrabar Nightclub Washington DC 911 F St Northwest Washington DC 20001

– When you arrive at the club, there will be two lines: The everyday loser line and the Guestlist Line, which are side-by-side on the right side of the building. (the left side is for table reservations, etc)

– The guestlist line at Ultrabar and Fur is the one closest to the curb, away from the wall. Just look for the important-looking person with the clipboard. Not sure? Just ask any employee or promoter.

– When you talk to the person with the clipboard, just tell them “hey, I’m on DJ Maskell’s Guest List. I’m (name).” If you’ve got a plus number, continue with “…and these are my plus (number) guests.”

This is the Regular Admission line at peak hour

– Pay attention to the guestlist times listed on the event page or in the confirmation message that I send back to you. This means you must be inside the door by those times to get hooked up, so please remember to keep that in mind when planning your night. Parking, ID Check, and stuff like that ALWAYS takes longer than you expect.

STEP THREE: PARTY!

I certainly hope that I don’t have to explain this part to you!
